Here is how Maryam’s ‘home ground’ Twitter has reacted to her arrest.
- Maryam Nawaz got arrested by NAB on corruption charges, Friday is almost here and we know that it isn’t considered as good for the Sharifs.
- Maryam was asked to appear before the NAB for her case hearing but she failed to show up.
- Bilawal Bhutto lost cool in National Assembly over the arrest of Maryam and used abusive language against the government and the Prime Minister.
She was sentenced for seven years on corruption charges and was out on bail leading her party PML-N.
Maryam was again arrested by NAB while visiting her father Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat jail and it seems that the NAB team was waiting for her to come to the jail. Earlier, Maryam missed a hearing for her case as well.
Why did she get arrested this time?
Well, this was the case of Chaudhry Sugar Mills and more than 40 million dollars were transferred to Maryam Nawaz’s account. NAB summoned her a few days ago and she was unable to answer a single question on how did the money get into her account.
NAB summoned her again on August 7 but she didn’t appear and went to meet her father instead. The NAB team was waiting there for a “Swagat” and she gets arrested. While PMLN supporters are heavily hurt on this news, others are celebrating it right on her ‘home ground’ which is … of course, Twitter.
Twitterati seemed to be celebrating the news of Maryam Nawaz’sarrest:

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari lashed out at the government for arresting Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He used abusive language and it is hard to believe that he is a graduate of Oxford University.
Billo Rani is abusing the sitting Prime Minister of Pakistan in Parliament. Is this the standard of the World’s top university?
